  • The Government of Alberta is gathering input to develop a new Sexually Transmitted and Blood Borne Infections (STBBI) Strategy.

The STBBI cascade of care refers to prevention and education, testing and diagnosis oSTBBIs, completing treatment (when necessary), and providing care and support for improved sexual health.

The survey is the first phase of engagement in developing the Strategy. Information collected through this survey will help develop discussion questions for upcoming invitation-only information gathering sessions where stakeholders will be asked to share their professional experiences, perspectives, and/ lived experiences regarding STBBI prevention and the cascade of care.

Your input will support the development of an Alberta STBBI Strategy with an emphasis on syphilis, which will inform government programs and other policies related to STBBI supports and services in Alberta. This strategy will reflect the real-world challenges and opportunities of improving care for individuals at risk of or living with an STBBI.

The survey takes 15 to 20 minutes to completeand closes June 6, 2025.
