As part of the Alberta-Canada Early Learning and Child Care Agreement, Children’s Services is interested in stakeholder comments and questions on the implementation of the Cost Control Framework and For-Profit Expansion Plan. Comments and questions received will inform the implementation of the framework and the transition to a new sustainable funding model.

The Government of Alberta invites child care operators and family day home educators to provide feedback on the proposed early learning and child care funding formula approach.
As Alberta transitions to a primarily government-funded early learning and child care system, there are significant changes for child care operators, family day home educators and parents. The Government of Alberta is committed to providing a valuable support system for child care operators and educators so they can provide a nurturing and affordable child care environment.
Your input will help the Government of Alberta effectively allocate resources for child care operators and family day home educators through the early learning and child care funding formula.
The Discussion Papers contain an introduction to the proposed early learning and child care funding formula approach for child care operators and family day home educators. Please review the relevant Discussion Paper prior to providing your feedback:
