  • The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation is gathering input about the challenges primary producers are facing.

The Government of Alberta is gathering input from primary producers to get a snapshot of what challenges the viability and growth of the primary agriculture sector.

Primary agriculture involves growing crops or raising animals as primary agricultural products, but not the further processing of these items. Examples include field crops such as grains, oilseeds, pulses and specialty crop, field or greenhouse vegetables and raising animals such as cattle, pigs, chicken, bison, etc.

Your input will help the Government understand the challenges primary producers are facing and will inform policy development, where applicable.

The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and closes on July 31, 2024.
