  • Introduction

Forestry and ParksForest Operations Branch (formerly the Wildfire Management Branch), is committed to engaging with contractors and understanding their diverse perspectives as it prepares to develop a new Fireline and Mobile Equipment Contract (the Contract), which will replace the current contract set to expire March 31, 2026.

This survey provides past and present contractors with the opportunity to share their opinions on any barriers to signing a contract, or once signed, barriers to accept work under a contract. This includes business owners, operations managers, and the operators who were deployed for wildfire. This will help government to understand the diverse perspectives of those contractors and inform the development of the next contract so that it meets the needs of both contractors and government while helping the Forest Operations Branch meet its mandate to keep Albertans and their property safe from wildfires.

There are three sections in this survey and a total of 21 questions:

    • Section 1 – About you
