Grow Alberta

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the cancellation of all in-person schools classes across Alberta, but that hasn't stopped some Calgary teachers from connecting their students with the environment! Teachers across Calgary are using some of their Student Action Challenge funding to create grow kits for their students to take home as part of an initiative called Grow Alberta. These kits contain everythin the students need to glow some local produce and the results have been amazing! One such school is Queen Elizabeth High School. They're using their Grow Challenge as a kick-off to re-invisioning their school and the sustainable learning spaces that could exist. You can learn more about their project here.
