WWOCAC Survey

This Survey will gather feedback from Alberta Associations and Municipal Approval or Registration holders regarding the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Advisory Committee (WWOCAC). The questions will measure the trends and/or experiences you, your organization or your water and wastewater operators may have had or will have with the WWOCAC. This survey will help Environment and Protected Areas make informed decisions, identify needs and preferences, measure change over time, and enhance accountability.

This collection is authorized by section 4c of the Protection of Privacy Act. Overview of WWOCAC

The Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Advisory Committee meets every two months to make recommendations on certification program policy, applications for certification, facility classifications, applications for certification renewal, certification examinations, evaluation of specific training/education with respect to the Certification Program, experience and education relevance, and determination of Certification Program fees.

WWOCAC Objective – Mandate

The Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Advisory Committee meets to make recommendations on certification program policy, applications for certification, facility classifications, applications for certification renewal, certification examinations, evaluation of specific training/education with respect to the Certification Program

Are you aware that the Government of Alberta has a Volunteer Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Advisory Committee (WWOCAC)?

Are you aware of the Public agencies, boards and commissions web page that contains information about the WWOCAC?

3.  

Are you aware of the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program strategic plan created by the WWOCAC that describes the mission and objectives of the water and wastewater operator certification program for 2023-2026?

Do you feel the WWOCAC contributes significantly to the successful outcomes of the WWW Operator Certification program?

Do you feel the current membership of the WWOCAC (as described above) appropriately represents industry interests?

Do you have any concerns with the overall function or role of the WWOCAC?

Would you support a qualified employee to volunteer as a WWOCAC member? (Note: time commitment will overlap with operational hours)
